Peplum Style Fitted Bodice With Vintage Lace Wedding Skirt

by Sandra Forrest on June 29, 2012

This two piece wedding gown comes with a story. It starts like this; Once upon a time and so on and so forth…..

Anyway, recently I read of an emerging wedding fashion trend for 2012; which is brides who are opting to wear a two-piece gown as opposed to the traditional wedding dress.

Well then it got me thinking and straightaway I shifted my brain into creative mode.

This is what I created, a very stunning peplum style fitted bodice seperate, teamed up with a full length gorgeous vintage lace skirt over a satin underskirt.

All in cream and ivory tones an it is simply divine and made in a size 12.

Oh and why you may ask of the new fashion trend, what is the reason for it?

Because you look all gorgeous and elegant and demure for the exchange of vow’s, then you glam up or down for the after party celebrations wearing the wedding lace skirt with a different top, say a corset or strapless top or go with the fitted peplum top with a shorter skirt for partying and dancing.

And most importantly it is versatile and it saves buying a complete new garment for the occasion.

And one last pic because I think it looks fabulous and dramatic in black and white.

I must say I do love black and whites pics.

So what do you think, I simply adored making this dress as it is a classy and elegant design and the fabrics are just beautiful.

And as usal I have used a combination of both vintage and new fabrics and lace which I have gathered especially to repurpose.

My wedding designs are all “One of a kind” and I look forward to showing you more in the future.

Thanks heaps for stopping by and please do leave a comment as I do love to read them.

Oh you make me wish I’d known this blog when I was getting married – not that I don’t like my dress, but yours are just so special and lovely!
